Pretty standard deal. I've seen this on eBay among many other sites for this price or very close for a while now. Obviously, Newegg will be a brand new product so, there's that. Unfortunately I didn't really see any crazy deals this memorial day on PCs or parts.

Teamgroup!!! Stay away even if it's free. I had have their memory products, died quickly.
Read negative reviews, the same. https://www.newegg.com/team-group...6820331561 [newegg.com]

P.S. This summer will be new AMD CPUs so older will be price drop.
Much appreciate the info. I've got a Ryzen 7 1700X I've been itching to upgrade but was on the fence between this and the 5700X 3D. People say the 3D processor is better for gaming, but does that matter if I've got a 3060ti? I'll probably end up waiting for a CPU+Mobo combo so I can swap both at once, my current mobo doesn't support the built in LEDs of my case bc its so old.

Need to google tests with your card but in general games slowly rise in CPU power and cores, so next few years 5700X3D will be best purchase because of gaming power and 8 cores. 6 cores going be just for universal home PC with occasional gaming.
But Mb+CPU combo deal in Microcenter always for some specific last gen and partly pre-last gen CPUs, 5700X3D not "best seller" in MC.

Thanks for posting this OP Smilie

I believe this does not come with a bundled CPU cooler which isn't necessarily a bad thing.. I've been very happy with my "Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Cooler" as far as keeping my CPU cool (exact same CPU that's on sale here)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1

tom's hardware liked it too

https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...sin-120-se

apologies I know everyone's probably sick and tired of me bringing up this CPU cooler Stick Out Tongue but I mention it for fellow newbies like myself who might benefit from the info.

the arctic MX-4 thermal paste I bought for it appears to be working fine

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

but the superior MX-6 version actually is not that much more expensive and even comes with wipes to remove thermal paste if you goof up applying it Smilie

As far as the SSD drive it looks like the " DRAM is necessary" " No it's not you'ure fine without it " debate has started again Smilie ... being the paranoid sort I prefer DRAM on say my Windows/system/C drive ... if your motherboard can support an M2 drive I'd argue that might be a better route though be aware this could end up disabling some sata ports that get "dedicated" to the m2 drive instead. But hey if you're getting it for free might as well use the team group drive for files or as a game drive right?

apologies for the reddit users on their with the, ahem, "colorful language" , just a heads up there Smilie

As far as people's concerns about newegg.. results will vary as far as how well they package your item though I've found them to be surprisingly good about returns.. of the two mechanical (3.5 form factor) hard drives I ordered one had the corner of the box based in and the bubble wrap (not nearly enough in my opinion newegg really skimps on the protective material in my opinion when shipping stuff) deflated so not surprisingly when I tried hooking it up to my motherboard the drive gave off a rather alarming sound, unplugged that right away! Had to ship the defective drive back (newegg paid to have it shipped back) and the replacement drive arrived in workign condition, it's still up and running in my PC a year later as I type this Smilie ..
