Generally agree with the sentiment that $10 more for 5800x is the better deal, keeping in mind that the 5800x has up to almost double the power consumption… and significantly harder to cool.

Up to you to decide if the increased operational costs and CPU cooling hardware is worth the (relatively) marginal gains of 5-10% over the 5700x

If the 5700X dropped another $20 or so, I'd probably just buy that instead.
