BH Photo had the 11-inch version with 256GB and Wi-Fi + 5G for $499. It was probably just a single unit, and it sold out quickly—the item now shows as discontinued.

I managed to snag a 13-inch M2 iPad Air with 1TB and Wi-Fi + 5G in Blue for $749.

Got lucky—right after I placed the order, it showed as discontinued. I probably got the last one. Interestingly, it was available for a while while I was debating whether to buy it.
