Has anyone, that wants to chime in, had a Sun Joe product that's lasted, and perhaps outperformed competition?

i have a sun joe pressure washer that's only six months in, so i won't say anything - beyond performance was great last time i used it.

i also have a transfer pump, which makes a horrible noise, sounds like it's going to die, stored in the shed - freezing winters/hot summers - and it just keeps going, two years now - for the price there's no competition.

Sun Joe hedge trimmer was great for a year until the battery crapped out…claims to be half-full but won't charge up or power anything 😬

Thanks for the response and valuable data. Do you know the model # of the transfer pump? I'm in the market for one...

This isn't a hedge trimmer, it's not battery powered and maybe minus a random bolt, I highly doubt either of these share any part so.....Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

It's almost where you have to pick and choose these 'levels' of products, in order to get a good one that will last. Conversely; I have Ryobi One+ products that just won't die.

Had 2 sun joe pressure washers (same models). Stored pristinely in my garage controlled temp through the year. Excellent performance while it worked. But the motor died on me within a year on each one. I hesitate on another Sun Joe purchase…feels like I'm throwing my money away

I used a sun joe pressure washer a few days ago to clean the house lower wall and driveway, I'm very satisfied with it. (Though it's Martha Stewart but it is made by Sun Joe) I borrowed it from my friend, he bought it like 3 years ago and it is still working great. It has 1300 psi, so this one 2200 psi should be totally enough for cleaning the house.

Even if it craps out after a year, it may still be considerably cheaper than paying someone and more convenient than renting one from HD. Strongly considering buying it…

When I was an FTC/FDA contractor; we found that 'trickle down economics' had a LOT of singular manufacturers, that used to flood the US market with rebranded product lines that allowed the secondary marketers, to make a certain percentage of changes (much like Copyright infringement allowing up to 20% similarity to the original) and then put their own name on it. It wouldn't surprise me if there were a common mass manufacturer in China that produces most of these competing products in this value space, and like the food industry, just buys the secondary markets when they start to infringe on the 'monarchy', to stay atop all of the 'pyramid'.

I've had a sun joe pressure washer for probably 4 years. I just upgraded the high pressure hose to 50 ft 14mm (came with non standard 15mm hose) and upgraded the wand but really no issues since I've had it

I purchased a Sun Joe product, it worked for first few times I used it, stored it in my shed, the next year, it worked for 10 minutes, then died. They send me a replacement, it also worked for the few times I used it, stored it for the winter, the lasted 30 minutes the next year. Again, Sun Joe replaced it under my original warranty. The third one worked the first time I used it, then a month later died after 10 minutes. It's now out of warranty so it's junk. Each one they replaced was a different model.
I just purchased a unit from Costco since I know I can return it if it breaks anytime.

Is this any better or worse than the Ryobi at Home Depot or Westinghouse at Lowe's for $89

You should probably research the basics of power washers. They are usually rated (and price dependant) on PSI ratings.

There is no Westinghouse at Lowes with the same PSI ratings currently for $89.
