Played when it was alpha and it was somewhat lacking. Not sure if it's better now. Helldivers 2 is where the starship trooper fans are though

I loved HD2 when it released and for another 6 months or so, but there's too much FOMO. I stopped playing 4 months ago and it's going to take me days to catch up. Meh.

Consoles specifically PS5 is very stable right now. Heard audio quality=high causes lag on PS so turn that down. Also make sure crossplay on,otherwise slow matchmaking.
There is crossplay, not cross progression so PC account cant be used.
Should be major update to game Aug 21.

what am i missing? helldivers 2 came out February of last year, Starship Troopers came out in October of last year.

It was an early access game since 2023, that was just its full release date.

I played this on PC for a few months when it first came out early access (couple years ago?). Biggest issue was performance. But it was pretty fun. Think Helldivers 2 killed it though as it was a better version of the "extract" shooter genre. Now it's mostly just hardcore fans of the movie / series

I think the PS+ dependency does not care about cross play, only if it is a free to play game or not, with a few exceptions. This likely needs it.
