I got the 4tb 990 pro for $259 to upgrade the 2tb sabrent which has throttling issues... just not enough to justify warranty claim.. go figure.. samsung is rock solid on full load.. i put the sabrent in my laptop,
fwiw i recommended a msi 4k low latency gaming monitor to a friend over greedy samsung's so they lost there

Gee, the tech field is changing and I'm starting to change how I now feel about ssd/NVMe,mech hard drives, etc. Some of us have been through many changes over 30-40 years from floppy 5 inch and 3 1/2 inch disks,to cd's, dvd's, hard drives, and ssd's and nvme. I feel the change coming again.
Also the quality of codecs and media players are changing a lot, and microSD stuff, etc. I can get great quality videos in nice smaller sizes, and if I look back 15 years ago, they were hugh file sizes and the quality wasn't that good.
Not sure what is coming NEXT. Not even sure how many TB's I need anymore.
Maybe AI will produce next wave of stuff.
I have too much stuff, and with each "upgrade", I pretty much throw away my old tech gear .... it more just falls away because I switch to newer tech toy that amazes me.
This looks interesting and I would have bought it a few years ago, but , now ... .... ... I'm OPEN to the next greatest and newest stuff.
