I don't know about this one specifically, but a lot of these knife blocks do not have powerful enough magnets. I did a lot of research and the one I selected was the Miyabi Magnetic Bamboo Easel Cutlery Block. It's expensive.

These knives appear to be from the same manufacturer as Babish knives. Have no experience using either, but seems like most critical reviews of Babish blades seem to be that they don't hold their edges long. Best to expect upper-low range performance for the price.

Using it for a year. Very strong magnet, never had a knife fall off.
Fakespot is a website and they analyze reviews for manipulation and then adjust to factor out that manipulation. You should go to their website if your want to understand their methodology more.

BJ's used to sell this exact same set for $99.99, normal every day price.
Then price dropped to $79.99, then $49.99. Then ultimately put them on clearance for $39.98. Now no longer available.
Of course we don't have a time-machine to buy from BJ's. Just adding the comment as a point of reference for these knives. Price is good, but not like they are a fantastic $500 set of German knives for fifty bucks.

Considering I have a $150 German bread knife, I can attest to the prices. 😃 I bought mine in Germany at a holiday bazaar, from the knifemaker's stall/table. Maybe overpaid, but it's partially a souvenir -- it does cut bread like a champ though. It'll do a nasty job on a finger, too. Ask me how I know.
