A couple ways to generally get targeted mailers that may work:
1) Partially fill out the application - enough they have your address. Then, abandon form.
2) If you already have a relationship with the bank, opt-in to targeted emails and mail.
3) Watch your email promotions and junk folders.
4) If you know someone with a relationship with the bank, ask for their referral code and partially fill an application.
Doctor of credit users report EFTs from these banks MAY work as direct deposit, or they may not. www.doctorofcredit.com/knowledge-base/list-methods-banks-count-direct-deposits/#BMO_Harris [doctorofcredit.com]. Your best chances appear to be with Chase, Schwab, or Treasury Direct.
