Their phones are comparably priced to their iphone counterparts, but these samsung tablets are priced ridiculously low compared to ipads. There must be something inferiour about these tablets.
Samsung Tab A series is, lower specs, LCD screen, etc.
Samsung Tab S series is, better specs, OLED screen, etc., and comparable to iPads.

Tab A sucks, stands for ass of a tablet. Stick with their S.

Good for parents who give it to their 2 mo old or whatever. Not good if you switch between apps a lot. It's on the slow side

This tablet isn't the best, and it doesn't compare to the S series, but it's also only $140.

Personally, I'd recommend a used/refurbished condition Tab S7+. It's a great tablet. Here's a VG used one for $220:

If you have a phone with Metro by T-Mobile, you can get this tablet for $20. I'm thrilled with it for that price, and, given what tablets cost and what you get for them, it's almost worth the $140 as well.

Though for that price, I'd probably trade in a Amazon device on their 11" tablet when it's on sale and get that for around $100. Seems like it was coming out to slighlty less than $100 for me when I was considering it, but I'm tired of messing with adding the Play store to those Kindle tablets and how much it would be nicer to just get an android tablet.

I've got this Samsung and already had the Fire HD 10 Plus. I'd say they're pretty similar, with the Samsung winning for not having to mess with adding the Play store and the eventual hassle I've had at times of not being able to update some apps. The Samsung seems faster, but we'll see how it feels when it's a few years old like my Fire is. BUT the Fire actually wins for its sleep mode, this Samsung doesn't go dim enough for me, nor have I seen how to get it to have that sort of red cast or whatever it is the Fire has which is much nicer for reading when you're about to fall asleep or just woke up. I looked into some dimming apps for the Samsung, but reviews put me off.
