I have this tablet. It's ok I paid $130 last year and that's all its worth to me. iPads were going for $200 at that time and are far more powerful processor, battery life, standby. It's got Dex which is really nice and and aspect ratio is nice for watching movies.

Get the 128GB version w 8GB Ram. Totally worth the upgrade. I had this since day 1 and happy for the price that I paid. Great for the Lil ones that only need basic stuff.

I say this every time I deal for this tablet comes up. it's great for children, great for media. But the UI is very slow. I do not recommend for multitasking or for things where you might need to interact with it a lot other than low resource games. The kids love it for videos, and Roblox runs pretty good in it. But web browsing can be pretty painful.

Do not get the 4gb version, Android will not function correctly or pleasantly with so little ram.

I bought it about eight months ago to use as a "DIY e-reader" (with the Librera FD app) to replace the Kobo Libra H2O (the battery died); the price, compared to the better e-readers, was reasonable. The only real negatives are that it's pretty heavy compared to the Kobo and the battery doesn't given me as many "readings" per charge (still, I only have to charge it once or twice a week); but it has color, essentially "infinite" storage (I bought the 256GB variant, which is practically infinite given the size of e-books), has a bigger screen (which particularly makes reading .PDFs easier), and a more responsive UI. Overall, I'm more satisfied with it plus LIbrera HD than I was with the Kobo Libra H20.

Bestbuy has the 256gb for $179.99, so same price for the 128gb that Amazon has.

You just answered my question. I only need it to do FF browser and tape into my wifi to watch or look at security cams using blueiris. Need something fast. Probably just get a laptop.

I've got this one over a year ago for $34 via the MetroPC promo. The 8GB is OK for playing games but it is slower than iPad. Battery lasts around half of an iPad. I actually use a Motorola Edge 2024 phone as a dedicated Android tablet more than this tablet - when I need an Android environment. The battery lasts around the same or longer on the phone anyway. It's probably OK for a kid but I would look for a basic iPad on sale for ~200 or less instead of this Samsung. The A+ screen is also just OK, nothing great.
