As far as I know, only the River 3 plus has this capability. Would love to see other manufacturers built it in or at the very least a local API for home assistant/NUT support.

At 2200 wh your computer can run QUITE a while before that. You have time to shut it down manually.
Its not HID compliant, so you can't hook up a USB port to your computer to tell it to safely shutdown after x mins or at x % battery.

Yeah that's a small downside. Does it have ANY way to communicate about this?

But I agree, with 20+ hours of extra PC runtime (averaging 100W) you can shut your PC down manually :-)
This one can support DC input up to 70V so it's great for 48V ebike batteries for extra ~0.5kWh. You would just need an adapter, I believe it's using the red-black Anderson plug but it's not shown on pictures.

Was thinking about getting one, but would never need it.

How noisy is this thing under fully charged/about 70 watts usage ?
What about charging at the low setting?
SOLARPLAY Q2501 also posted here, that would trip and shut off when pulling more than 1100w in UPS mode
happy to report this one does just fine! my AI server pulls 1500w in UPS mode without issue. I tested it as high as 1700w in battery mode and it was fine

Interesting use of charging it that way.
What limits you from melting the wires? IS there a max current setting?

I'm in a snow area and when it's wet snow a lot of above ground power lines have issue. I've been out of pwoer for 24 hours one year a few years ago. Shorter outages with lightning happen more often but usually not very long.
