The Hoover onepwr stuff is quite good. I hate being in a separate battery system than my Ryobi stuff, but I went to went to one of their "tent sales" a few years back. It was the last day and they were trying to get rid of stuff. I spent like $375 on stick vacuums and lights and a carpet spot cleaner and they gave me 24 x 4ah batteries for free.
If you haven't tried their cordless pet vacuums you're missing out. We have 3, one of the older models and 2 of the newer ones. The older model was very good, the newer one is GREAT.

We had the handle snap on one when picking it up on the stairs, the motor go out on the brush in the replacement, and then somehow the hose that connects the body to the brush head just deteriorated and eventually fell apart. This is in the last 2 years. Each time, Hoover had me 'destroy' the vacuum and then sent me an entire new one. The last one was 2 weeks ago - we got the 'Elite' as a replacement, which is better. But.. just send me a handle, or a hose. I've junked 3 of these now.
