Excuse my ignorance. But can you explain why 3/8 or 1/2 is better if you dont need to go higher than 300psi?
It's not about pressure, it's about volume. If you are running air tools with high consumption, you want a larger diameter.
Also, Flexzilla is about the worst hose your can buy. The polymer outer covering peels off, gets bubbles from internal leaks, and the NPT fitting ends are complete garbage.
This is an occasional use light duty homeowner quality hose.
I have a pair of these in the 35' 3/8" size, purchased for $15 each 3 years ago, and they are wonderful. Lightweight, easy to coil and straighten, not delaminating, feels good in the hand, hanging on a hook indoors away from sunlight. The fittings work fine. Used for air nailers, air nozzle cleaning parts, etc. one of those tools that makes me happy each time I use it.

I agree. I have both a Flexzilla air hose (1\4" 35 ft) and 50 ft water hose. both work extremely well, no delamination, easy to coil in very cold weather and end fittings are good. just keep them indoors or out of direct sunlight and you're fine. very happy with these hoses compared to many other plastic type hoses, air or water.

it has more to do with airflow capacity than pressure as some devices have high C. F. M. requirements and hose ID is a restrictive factor. Imagine your pressure washer (without reservoir/ hose fed) running off a flexible steel garden hose with 1/4 inch plastic tube insert vs. a 3/4 inch rubber/ vinyl hose. With the steel hose the pressure washer can't get enough water fast enough to feed the pressure washer and it will sputter as opposed to the 3/4 hose that supplies ample flow of water . HTH
