If you are just starting your tool collection, don't let the "impact driver"
confuse you.

This absolutely has more feather finger control and power than my DeWalt drills
with which you constantly are messing with the torque ring.

This and an slide-back type adapter for all the end bits is plush.

A 1/4" impact driver takes 1/4" hex shank bits. I think you are confusing it for an impact wrench, which might have a 3/8" or 1/2" square drive for directly fitting sockets instead. To use an impact driver on the same fasteners you would need nut driver bits or a socket adapter.
