Only the G502 X models have the optical sensor (LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical primary switches). This one may (will?) get double click at a certain point.

Having just lost a G900 / G903 due to double click issues (granted, after 5 years), I get the interest in optical switches. Not sure it's worth 100% more, but optical switches are a step forward.

The mousepad is a downgrade from the first generation. Powerplay 2 doesn't have the built-in mouse reciever that the first one did.

I was on my 2nd replacement of a mouse in a year for double click issues and was tired of it and also having to constantly plug in my mouse to charge it since I'm at my desk all day.

Isn't the Logitech ones susceptible to the double click issue?

Only ones without optical sensors. I think it's the "X" series that includes optical sensors for the clicks.

This mouse is amazing. Just feels nice, you can adjust the weights a bit. I'm annoyed that they try really hard to hide the fact that it's micro usb.

Oh nvm, looks like an old stock photo. This appears to be the updated version with usb-c. I'll grab one then lol
