based on the reviews, send like this unit doesn't hold up in high heat zones. If it was cheaper I'd give it a shot, maybe sub $100...

How are the radar detectors these days? I thought people stopped using them and they went away. Or it could be that my state doesn't enforce speeding in the highway so whats the point of having one.

The app is kinda crappy. Camera works well attached to a radar detector. Recordings are fine. I had an Escort detector with it (10 years old), moved on to a new Uniden. Camera connects to that just fine too. The Uniden is a great detector, it doesn't false really at all when setup.

I find having a rabbit out front is superior as long as you are the type of driver paying attention to traffic more than a few feet ahead of the bumper.
With Waze, you also get a good idea if they are out and about even if the exact location is delayed in the changes.
