Strongly considered this deal but I ultimately decided against it as anecdotally there seems to have been a noticeable dropoff in quality and reliability in recent years (perhaps coinciding with new ownership taking over). You can mitigate a lot of the risk of card failure by regularly backing up (or even having two of these cards with one serving as a replica) but if you can afford it, I'd opt for one of the more reliable brands.

For reference, my current CFexpress Type A cards are from either Sony or ProGrade; I'd also consider SanDisk (all of my SD cards are SanDisk). Haven't had any issues thus far (knock on wood).

I've had multiple issues with SanDisk SD cards on my A7III. I think they were some batches that had compatibility issues with the a7iii specifically but left a sour taste. Been using Lexar CF on my new Z8 without any issues so far.

Considering I paid $200 for a Lexar gold 160BG this seems like a great deal. I just ordered. I'm using with A7R5 for reference.

I also just ordered these cards for my A7R5. Going to re-use the v60 cards for my incoming Fuji X-E5.

Great deal! My SONY 160G will only sustain 1 birding session (50mp raw) 2400 pics

however I'm buying 480GB Prograde Iridium (4.0 standard)this time for $207 (edu pricing) and keeping SONY for rainy days
