The S2 pro controller can remotely wake up the S2 while the S1 cannot. There are also little added features and adjustments like the G buttons on the back of the grips that can be programmed as shortcuts, an added c button on the center bottom of the controller for chat, and raise buttons for better overall feel. Otherwise, it's the same as the S1.

Is there any benefit to getting a either a pro controller or the 8bit controller for PC emulator play?

to be clear, there is not a single 3rd party switch controller with HD rumble... and there isn't a single Xbox 3rd party with Xbox impulse triggers + advanced rumble (some have one, none have both). also mostly true for ps5 DualSense, but i think there are 1 or 2 out there with adaptive triggers + haptics.
for this reason, i stick to oem controllers, using each for whatever the game was made for.
the question im asking - how does the switch 2 pro controller work with yuzu? does it run on the same system as the original hd rumble, but feel better? is it compatible with the switch 1 hd rumble when the game is emulated...
does the S2 pro controller need to be emulated as a switch 1 controller to work with switch 1 games on pc?

The knock offs are not even close to the legit thing, even if close reliability is out the window. The pro controllers are very nice, still a rip off price.
