The flat watch circle has been my only complaint about this since I've had it otherwise it's great. It's the form factor I like and it folds up for travel but the flat white circle made it annoying

I have a similar version of this that I use for travel. It charges my Samsung phone and Sony earbuds just fine, but I need to remember a separate charger for my GalaxyWatch.
Are you oblivious to use cases outside your own? I gifted a friend a wireless cable puck for her phone vs always using usb-c and she texted me the next day calling it "game changer" and thanked me.
When I actually need speedy charging, "yes", wired is the way to go, but it is rare that I need a fast recharge ASAP. For the past ~5 years or so, fast wireless is good enough for most situations that the convenience of not fiddling with cables outweighs outright speed.
