bought a generic brand years ago, kept the seal for a few years and then they lost it. The generic brand I bought no longer sold. Have tried many brands (including amazon basics) since, none retain the seal for more than a few days. I tried one recently and the seal did not last but for a few hours. Quality overall has seriously nosedived.

I was going to suggest using them for 3d printing filament (with an adapter like this https://makerworld.com/en/models/...vacuum-bag ) , but reviews indicate that they quickly lose seal.

I bought a multi-pack and an XL jumbo pack during the last sale.
A vacuum sealed a luggage case and a pack of clothes and they're still under vacuum three weeks later.
I did have one rip on me, but I was being careless with it.

I just held a shop vac hose against it, no adapter necessary.

First time I bought these years back, they lasted for a while before the plastic cap eventually broke and they lost their seal. I bought these again last month and they seem to have redesigned them. The seal is holding well so far. Also, the plastic pump worked surprisingly well.

I just bought this pack last week. It seals better than the other brand which i paid double for. The other brand let air in within hours. The Amazon jumbo bag is slightly smaller than the other jumbo, but it has better gasket around the hole. So far it has been holding up really well. I was able to fit my winter comforter in the bag

wow, so have a few of those stick vacuums and a Bambu 3d printer, never throught to combine them for filament storage!

I use the Amazon storage bags for travel regularly, like each week. They work well enough. In my mind, toss a spool of filament in with a desiccant pack and let her sit. It'll last you 3-6 months pretty easy. They lose seal when opened and closed a lot.

Just wanted to echo others' comments about these being low-quality, every one of mine leaked air, and the plastic seems to degrade very quickly. Never had an issue with the Hefty ones, they're worth the extra money.

Save time as I do and get the mother-in-law to sit on it.
