This is OK to use very light weight boxes. No for think boxes.
I thought my efforts will be less and much quicker with this but in practicality it's NOT
we need to apply pressure to move the scissor. Based on thickness Iof the box it needs that much pressure. It gets struck in the middle and to be removed and continue
I now moved back to my old style cutting with sharp knife which now I feel easy and simple
Importantly the charger is their proprietary plug so if we lost it no way to use. I don't like this but keeping it safe and handy
$80 skill was his #1
May not be your cup of tea but if you want a tool that will destroy all boxes and more, its a much better investment.

I use a 12v cutter in this style to cut low-pile carpet. Even the 12v can bog down easily in any material (cardboard included) if you push forward too quickly.

The bigger and stronger the box the more it tears right through.
This cutter being sold in that thread would choke on thicker material.
If say keep a regular box cutter around for the thin stuff that is super easy to cut.
Been using this tool a lot more often recently with different blades.
Was a life saver building our shed and for some home improvement tasks..
So I think owning one is great as a tool in general, the box cutting thing as just a hack I came up with that worked so well that it's my go too now.
