i got this last year, this gets stuck a lot on odd angles and wont push thru. box cutter and reshaper works faster for me.

There are two versions of this tool orange with black trigger and black with orange trigger (newer). Latter one is 10 times better. So its possible people with bad experience are using older model.

I'm curious if this works well on a bit thicker cardboard. Like Amazon boxes or thicker boxes like diapers or the free crates from Costco they give you to carry items. I've just been cutting boxes up with plain old utility knife for years.

I wouldn't call this a slick deal. This seems to be the exact same model as the one at Harbor Freight for the same price.

That being said, highly recommend getting one of these -- especially if you have a community trash bin and need to breakdown your boxes.

i tried the ryobi version of this. returned. couldnt cut reliably. way harder than box cutter or water method on cardboard

Bought one of these a few months ago. I cut a lot of cardboard down so I can shred it for compost and this easily cuts the double thick cardboard. I find it much faster than using a box cutter. Mine never gets stuck.

Man, would definitely try it if it was usb charger. Way too many different chargers in my house and too easy to lose..
