Pretty much becoming the standard sales price, but a lot of bad reviews even with the recent purchases so good luck to those who purchase it. Asus is usually not known to put out duds, but this currently is pretty high on the list.

This Wifi 7 router is still unstable, its better to wait 1 or 2 years to jump into Wifi7. If you go for Wifi 7 with Asus then go BE96 or above. Ax86 pro is cheaper and will provide a more stable connection and it has better 5ghz antenna.

I rolled the dice on this one during Prime Day sale to check it out. Also ordered a BE86U and AX86 pro to compare. The 30% off used versions was tempting enough to try them out.

I have this, when it works it is ultra fast, but I had significant issues with it constantly dropping WIFI i would say about once an hour. TBH i would advise not buying it.

So glad to hear you say this! I was debating b/t the 2 over prime days, and jumped on the updated 86U Pro to replace my 86U and so far it is amazing. Very happy with my purchase. Very stable and awesome coverage for us!!

How long ago was this? Some forums say stability has improved with a few firmware updates.

This thing just arrived. I'm mad because Amazon dropped the price $30 right after it shipped. I should have known when they gave overnight shipping.. I read everything that I could find on it and the stability problem did not seem to be an issue especially with new firmware.

You can always order it again and return it under your first order. I do it all the time if the price drop is worth the time.
