Yes with caveats. If there is urine in there though then it is not recommended because it won't filter out urine byproducts, salt, uric acid, or viruses.So if you are staying in a 3rd world country hotel or something and got thirsty, you could pop this lifestraw right into a toilet 🚽 and drink the delicious water from it to keep yourself hydrated there every day. Just don't use the toilet that's all.

Interesting how this filter NEVER EXPIRES but our regular Brita filter expires every few months 🤔
