There's a $125 gift card offer if you pick it up in store at a Best Buy, though it's unclear if it's a Samsung gift card or Best Buy gift card. I purchased the 49" a couple of months ago, and the box was enormous. If in-store pickup is an option (and you have a vehicle that can accommodate it), I'd definitely suggest going that route.

the 57" is the equivalent to 2x 32" 4k monitors right? if so, I have a 32" in front of me and I'm about 24 to 28-inches from the screen depending how I'm sitting.

How far would you sit for an optimal view with no neck strain?

Hasn't this been much cheaper in the past closer to $1100?

I've been wanting one of these super ultrawides that is also taller and this checks the box for a monitor that I won't feel I need to upgrade for a looong time.

Currently have a dell 38" ultrawide that is 3840x1600 that I want to replace with a bigger monitor.

I hate the ultrawide that feel like I'm looking through a narrow slit.

Are there any other bigger than my current 38" monitors on the horizon that has the same aspect ratio while being bigger?

This is equivalent of 2 32 inch monitors. I sit about 3 feet away. But I do struggle a bit to read text in programs that I cannot change text size with.

I never even saw it. But I am not sure if I would want one. I really like having boundaries for my programs. If only there were a real way to dissect a screen such as certain parts are seen by the system as their own monitors, that would make a monitor like that more to my liking.

I'm pretty sure you can have the monitor act as dual monitors where it adds a virtual border in the middle.

My desk is 30 inches deep and I use this monitor without any problems.
