It will eventually break, but that doesn't make your existing gauge any better. You're using a stick gauge if you only paid $0.99, and they're fine in an emergency. However, they are the least accurate and reliable gauge. Bourdon Tube gauge is more accurate and also mechanical, but more expensive. Both use mechanical components to measure pressure and are prone to failure from regular use, corrosion, and even a slight jostling can ruin them.

Electronic gauges are much more accurate and reliable. They are less prone to degradation, meaning regular use will not wear on the components. They only real downsides are that they're more expensive and need batteries. Sure, they can fail, but they don't fail any more often than the mechanical gauges.

I've been using this one for a couple years now and it's been fantastic. I bought it because my Bourdon Tube Gauge on my compressor failed, and those stick gauges aren't as reliable. Try it: I bet you'll never go back!

T300. AAA batteries. More accurate. Better ergonomic/case.

I have 2 of these. One for each car.
Purchased at $7, so at this price I highly recommend them.

Keep in mind that this model (T300) doesn't come with the presta value adapter. You will need to purchase the T300 plus($7.59 prime day) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CDLC8PPR

I've found that the Etenwolf also seats better on the valve stem. I have both and the AstroAI is inferior in most ways IMO.
