Flex makes great tools, on par with Milwaukee. Some tooIs are even better. Don't know why they are not well known.

No. They use flex batteries.

Honestly They will never be known if they don't create new tools , Milwaukee already already has something for every trade out there

Have this impact and the hammer version of the drill, as well as a ton of other Flex cordless tools, but I don't love the impact and still use old Makita impacts most of the time. It's too powerful and the trigger isn't finely tuned enough. If you're mostly driving deck screws or something of that nature, go for it, but if you are often putting back in small screws that you want to feather one single click of impact out of, you'll be annoyed. The drill trigger has three speeds, which isn't that big of a deal, but I much prefer the unlimited control of my Makitas. I can't think of the word I'm looking for, but what I am trying to describe is that, regardless of how far you squeeze the trigger on the Flex, you only have three speeds of rotation out of the chuck per gear (1 and 2,) whereas my Makitas' triggers control is much more sensitive and completely correlated to the chuck rotation, giving you the ability to completely control the RPMs within the range of the tool.
Flex does make fantastic tools, BTW.
