I got my first of 3 refunds within 3 weeks of submitting the photo. 1 unit I have to send in and am awaiting the return packaging. I was also able to clean and keep the old units.

We have 4x of the Midea dual hose portable A/C units (the one where it's a "single" large combined intake/exhaust hose) and they've gotten us through 3 summer so far in an older house with ancient single-pane casement windows. They keep about 80% of a double brick, leaky house comfortable despite the 90-100+ degree weather.
The thing is I bought them all on sale between $200-300, some refurb and two of them under different brand names (Danby and Toshiba). They're 12k+ BTU SACC. $300 for a single hose unit sounds hella expensive.
