Silly question, need something quick to change brake pads/rotors on Silverado 1500 - this should be safe enough for a crew cab truck right? It says 3 ton…but it's also harbor freight.

There is a reddit post talking about these stands. There are two versions of the jack. They display each at the store. The one with minimum height of 11 ³/⁸" supposed to be better built.

I got the Amazon Basics 3 ton jack stands and they are 30 bucks all the time. Pretty good so far. Also get the rubber pads for them.

Yeah totally fine..

Presonally I use them more for safety devices if my jack gives out and I'm under the vehicle unless you are completely supporting it off the ground with these (in that case you need 4 and there aren't many passenger vehicles close to 12 tons lol).

I'm a big fan of these very simple and if you want to use wood blocks to spread the point of contact, then go for it.
