I mostly post Amazon and use ASINs to check past data.
I think some people prefer to shop on Amazon - so it helps to have Amazon price drop highlighted.
This can also be combined with recent rewards deals like this:
https://dealquestnow.online/f/18388699-amazon-select-amex-rewards-cardholders-pay-w-points-get-up-to-50-off-max-80-more
Price matching Microcenter, in my experience, is a crapshoot. I've been told everything from "it's an in-store sale so go to your local store and they should do it" to "we don't price match Microcenter". I'm happy for all it worked for, but it's not guaranteed unless, perhaps, you're more insistent or persistent than I am.

You can get one w/ 8GB more of ram and 256GB more for $850. Not bad for $400 more for $35 in components.... This is what Apple does they sell a totally barebones machine that will be no good in 2 years, so you end up upgrading faster and the e-waste that this is goes into the landfill earlier since you can't upgrade anything. If you actually want a usable machine for 4-5 years (since you can't upgrade anything) they double or triple the price. https://dealquestnow.online/f/18383257-849-apple-mac-mini-2024-m4-10-core-cpu-gpu-24gb-memory-512gb-ssd-at-amazon?src=rcm_disco_rec_eng_threads_h&peid=4401f67a-2f84-4ca6-b12c-175f3a823aaa
Paying DOUBLE the price for 8GB extra RAM and a negligible amount of storage is idiotic. If you really need the extra space get a 1TB/2TB NVMe with a thunderbolt 4 enclosure (will be around $150 total).
And no, this machine will not be "no good" in 2 years. The M1 Macbook with 8GB RAM still kicks ass today, 4.5 years after launch. You can very easily get 5+ years out of this one.

That will be no good in 2 years? laugh out loud Top contender for the dumbest post today.
I said upgrade not any good. Difference, they build these on the edge of usability for the base model. I'd like to see REAL discounts on the higher spec models which cost them mere dollars but charge up hundreds.

I have a 2021 Macbook Mini M1 with 8GB RAM that I am using to post this. I am a developer, and run multiple concurrent containers and serve multiple sites locally for development purposes. I have not yet faced a serious bottleneck. Suggesting that these products will warrant an upgrade in two years is totally unfounded.

I guess my 2012 Mac mini never got that memo because it's still going strong all these years and has never been shut off.

I will give you this, they still had memo's in 2012

Personally I picked up an m3 air w/ 256GB last month, I find myself using that and can easily plug into my 4k monitor. I don't even use my m1 MBP anymore I may just sell it. The best thing about the ipad is the apps are WAY cheaper. I can get lifetime licenses for my creative for well under $100 where Adobe would bend me over on a PC. When ipados gets its upgrade, it will be SO close. The ipad air IS a deal (IMHO).
