They seem to have run out of TV stands, which they had been letting you add on for free. Otherwise I would probably order… Anyone know the best way to get the official stand at a discount?

Grab your popcorn for all the "But it doesn't have DTS" comments, and "But it has HDR issues" comments. I've had my 83 inch G5 for about 5-6 weeks, no regrets, it's an amazing TV. I'm using a Q990D soundbar with it from streaming and Denon Atmos set up for gaming and physical media - so lack of DTS was never an issue for me (and reading online in forums, there really isn't much out there that would make it an issue for most people anyways). I bought through the LG partner store with my partner discount and coupon; only negative from the whole buying experience was the free HANDY installation. I had way more knowledge on how to mount the system with the included bracket than they did (after watching a 2 min youtube video) - other than benefiting from the extra muscle to hang this beast - I would pass on the free install service unless you need the extra hands. This is a great deal on the 77 inch model, you can sell that soundbar and recover a good chunk of money if you don't need it. You can get a great deal on a G4 as well (I considered it, but didn't want to regret not getting the G5 later).

The price has followed a similar discount timeline as G4 and has been priced nearly identical. When it gets as old as G4, it will be discounted like that. It's priced as expected for a 2 month old TV.

G Series comes with a custom flush wall mount instead. The G series is the Gallery series, so they do give you something to put it on, but it's a wall mount instead of stand.

Besides a company email link (if your company has partnered with them), you can get in if you're a veteran, health care worker, work in government or education by setting up an ID.me account which will verify your status and get you in.
