Just a note, l had one of these that l liked but returned.

Returned it due to the fact that if you leave the solar panels plugged in, at night the Solix doesn't shutdown/timeout if there are any inputs or outputs connected.

In my case l had a 190w solar panel connected via the XT60 cable, so at night the Anker would discharge over night, then re-charge up during the day.

Only way around this was to unplug the solar panel xt60 cable on daily basis before it got dark.

Anker doesn't have a way around this, l'm going to try the ecoflow delta next, as they have a feature under their lab options on their app, which supposedly fixes this issue...

That was the biggest issue for me, other than that the app was good, and power seemed fine, and built in light was nice to have.
sure, no problem. the anker c1000 was released in sept. 2023. it's 20 months old. it was perfectly fine when it was released back then, competing against the likes of ecoflow delta 2, bluetti ac 180, jackery 1000, etc. they all had 500w or less solar input, were noisier than the newer ones, 100w usb, etc.

but it's in need of an update or refresh. the competition is releasing newer power stations which are much quieter, offer more solar input, 140w usb ports, alternator chargers and other useful accessories, etc.

the app is very basic (i own a c1000x, so i know).

there is no alternator charger, when ecoflow, bluetti, and pecron have all released alternator chargers to go with their power stations. jackery (i'm not a fan) showed one at ces 2025, and one would assume that it will eventually come out.

so, while there is nothing really wrong with the anker c1000(x), it's just last generation tech, with slower usb ports, a limited and basic app, it's noisy when running heavier loads or fast charging, etc.

so, for me, it all comes down to price. i picked up a refurb c1000x on temu for under $258. it came boxed like brand new, with protective film on the screen, no scratches, all neatly packed like a new one.

they probably just want to clear down some old stock and offer less warranty while they prepare to release a newer updated model. an announcement that one is on the way should be forthcoming in the next few months.

this c1000 was $383.52 nearly a couple months ago...

https://dealquestnow.online/f/18233899-anker-solix-c1000-1056wh-1800w-lifepo4-power-station-bundles-from-383-50-free-shipping

...so what's so special about this deal for $65 more? this model is getting older and older as time goes on.

its direct competitor, the delta 2, regularly sells for under $400 these days. the delta 2 was $360 (with no sales tax in most states) a couple of months ago.

that's where the anker c1000 should be. in the $350-ish range.

for about 20 bucks more than this deal, i can get the delta 3 plus on temu. the delta 3 plus is much newer and much nicer than the anker c1000(x).

i have both. i bought the c1000x because it was very cheap, seems solid, and it gets the job done. i use every day, along with my other power stations.
For anything power related, i trust anker much more than dji

I get it, but the fact of the unit being "on" didn't use up the whole battery, surely. That's why I asked where the power went. Was something plugged into an outlet consuming power?
No the entire unit wasn't discharged, went down to around the 70's percentage wise, and nothing was plugged into an outlet consuming power, only thing plugged in was the input solar panel cable.

I'd thought it would have some intelligence built in to know that it's not receiving any input at night from the panels, which Anker support said it did not, and they have no plans on adding any via a software/firmware update.

Better than dji power 1000?
I went with this because for example, if you want to charge the unit with your car's cigarette lighter, the cable comes included. With the DJI every additional cable is a $50 separate charge

Sounds like Solix is the winner over DJI (except for peak output). Solix is slighter larger kWh, has a built solar controller, 4 more AC ports, faster charging, better app control, and a UPS mode and LED light. But if you have DJI drone then that would tip the scales
I have this one, and that UPS mode is not fast enough to keep my 3D printer running during a power flicker, just an FYI for anyone considering it for mission critical items.
Another problem is it will not turn back on after completely depleting the battery when power is restored. After Helene, we lost power for 24 hours, this saved our food in the fridge, but once power came back, this did not turn back on, so if we hadn't gotten back, the fridge would have stayed unpowered. Internet was not working either, so I couldn't turn it on remotely.

How did you return? I read their warranty policy and there was no return accepted. They only repair or replace with a refurbished one if something was wrong.

actually, it was $258.69 after one of their targeted $120 off coupons they emailed me. the price that would show up on temu if you just checked their site without a $120 off coupon they sent, would have been $378.69.

lots of folks that have made purchases on temu before get sent $105 off $300+ or sometimes $120 off $300+ coupons. i get sent one to my email practically every day, or every other day.

i got a $105 off in my email this morning.

you have to get in the loop and be sent targeted email coupons, which temu sends some folks regularly. i bought the anker c1000x (which is the black version for those who were asking) back on april 30 from temu. the prices fluctuate all the time, and the anker c1000 refurbs come in and out of stock, and to get one for under $300 you have to use a $105 off $300+ or $120 off $300+ item coupon.

you are never going to get the best price by just going to temu's website and not using a coupon. you have to register an account with an email, and put the item(s) you want in your cart, or search for them, and if you have purchased something on temu, get in the loop, where they regularly send (actually spam and stalk you) with coupon offers.

That sounds like a big fault for not automatically powering back on after the power was restored.
