The S2e has an upgraded DSP and is supposedly tuned to more closely match the PX8's (B&W flagship headphones) sound signature.

I dislike Bose headphones sound quality and profile while preferring Sony XM4/5 instead. The plastic build quality also leads a lot to be desired.
I tried the flagship B&W, PX-8s and it was amazing - build quality of leather and aluminum, sound was also amazing and definitely blew my XM4s out of the water, but they were also 2x the price.
Once my XM4s die out I'll probably upgrade to one of these.
