Caution on 55U6N - most bothersome to us is the bad viewing angle. The color of the video shifts hue dramatically as you move away from center. green becomes blue very rapidly when you view the screen at an angle. You have to be watching it dead center … and sit farther sway (else edges of screen fade!)
do these deals start at 11:01am CST on 25th Nov or something else. That 12pm always confuses me.
So tonight (24th Night 25th morning) at midnight eastern time this deal is exclusively for Walmart+ members;
Is QLED really worth the $100 more? Best buy has a 55" tcl QLED for $249
This has full array local dimming(FALD). The $249 TCL does not and is still a tier below, q5 vs q6, iirc. TCL qled 55" with FALD is $300 at Woot or $350 at Amazon. Q681G model with Google TV.
If still available, both Best Buy and Amazon have 55" Hisense mini led for $350.

Can anyone comment on the differences between the 55U6HN and the 55U6HR? Is the only difference the OS (Google vs Roku)? The 55U6HN is currently $350 on Amazon, and I'm wondering if the $70 premium is justified.

The Amazon one uses mini-led technology. Considered the best type of back-lighting for led TV's. Theoretically makes for the best picture, short of an OLED model. Think this is about the lowest price ever for a mini led.
Pretty sure this Walmart model does Not use mini led. Typically that feature would not go unmentioned in the descriptions.

Yeah, I misread the model of the 55U6N as the 55U6HN. So yeah, the 55U6HR is a different model altogether. And like you said, mini-LED seems to be the main difference along with the OS, and possibly HDR10+ support.
IMO, mini-LED is easily worth $60-$70 more. So, hard pass on this one.

I can confirm this as well. I know VA panels don't always have the best viewing angles, but I've never had a TV that shifted that much so quickly.
