This brand is very reliable. I guarantee the other ten you have owned were not like this.

The only thing greasy or nefarious about this brand is the reviews are exaggerated, as they give people free or greatly discounted lights in exchange for reviews. But this is very common in 2024 with Amazon.
I agree; Wurkkos and Sofirn both have good reputations in the modern flashlight scene. They're well represented on budgetlightforum.com, and they listen to members of the community and solicit feedback while developing new products.
Cheaper than Aliexpress or direct from Wurkkos. Looks like it scales up; I added 4 to my cart and the total shows $81.38 (after my local tax).

I do not have this flashlight, but have owned ten just like it. I think you should add 15 bucks and then get a nicer and longer lasting one. Typically these flashlights are incredible at first (a week? month? year?) then the battery terminals stop connecting and the flashlight jumps in and out when you need it most. I advise you to look away from the deal and put a few bucks into something more reliable.

Well I have a Wurkkos that sucks! After repeatedly cleaning and using a stand alone charger it will finally turn on. Nice as that is the only way to turn it off is to twist the end cap. Only benefit being you then can not accidently turn it on in your pocket since it requires another twist then button push.

For this size flashlight, yes. You might take something like this to walk your dog. It's not something you'd expect to use for hours every day. Nor is it something you'd put in your pocket every day for the off chance you need to insert a key into your door.

I've found that the "frequently returned item" box on Amazon is a pretty good indicator I'm not going to like something. I'm sure this is OK, but I'm also sure there are more known/reliable options for not a lot more.

My experience as well. To Wurkkos credit they sent me a comparable replacement which I haven't had long enough to test its life. They do seem to be finicky. Looking for that company for $15 more with similar specs.

1050 lumens huh.....How did they get to that exact amount? Not just 1000 lumens.....but 1050 lumens.

Which reminds me. For some reason my 2300 lumen Olight appears much brighter than my 4000 lumen Sofirn light. Who is rating these things and testing them before smacking the lumen rating on the light?

Maybe the higher lumen one is a floodier light, with the lower lumen one being a thrower. This will make the light feel more intense and have a higher Candela. I think if comparing two lights, we also should be including the Candela as well.

I have a ton of Olights as well actually! I love their lights too, but it's also fun to play around with other brands at like 30% of the cost.

I have three Arkfeld Pros, but the Wurkkos HD01UV actually has a stronger UV light. Luckily Olight still is one of the few that combine the light, UV, and laser in one package.

I have 2 of the same Wurkkos head lamps and they're built really well. It doesn't get super hot either at full brightness unlike a lot of other flashlights that brag about their lumen only to last less than a virgin at his first go then it lowers the lumens and is too hot to touch. Sofrin is also really good brands and I suspect a lot of returns are going to be people not knowing how bright 1 lumen is and 1000 lumens isn't all that bright when comparing to something bigger and does twice as much but only for 30 seconds.

In other news, if you can find the Duracells from Costco, they're not bad at the same 1000-ish lumen just seems to be much bulkier.

Got one. I've been EDCing the TS12 with 18650. This one should be a little bit more pocketable.
