This is a really great deal at $350.

There is nothing else on the market at this price that will provide you with this many features to make a really good espresso.

I've had mine since 2022. I also have a Bambino for the office.

Bambino has no gauge and no PID for temp adjustment

Temp adjustment helps with extraction for medium to light roast coffee. ( Needs higher temp)

Having a gauge you can adjust the over pressure valve to reduce max pump pressure delivering a cleaner espresso. If you do the dimmer switch hack you can also use the gauge to play with variable pressure profiles.

Startup to heat time is a wash as both are relatively fast differing by less than a minute.

The group head on the infuser is heated which reduces cooling effect if you lock your portafilter in place while warming up. This is another variable that leads to more consistent espresso.

Infuser pre infusion is also more adjustable than the Bambino. Bambino is Max 10 seconds, while with the infuser you can go as long as you want in manual mode.

The last reason to get the infuser is it's overall size and weight. It still has a relatively small footprint, but when inserting the portafilter, having the extra size and weight is better. On the Bambino you gotta hold the top of the machine to snug the filter or else you'll lift the entire thing.

If you're thinking about getting into the rabbit hole of espresso coffee, this is a no brainer deal.
The Infuser has more precise temperature control, but weaker steaming power. If you consume more milk-based drinks, then the Bambino/Bambino Plus would be a better fit. However, if you prefer to drink straight espresso and dabble in specialty coffee that may require experimenting with temperature, the Infuser is the better option.

If you can hold out until the Bambino Plus goes on sale again, that's probably the best bang for your buck.

I like really hot and dark intense espresso. Which one would be best in that case?

Any ones in your opinion for that and also are automatic options?

Automatic espresso machines are meh. I have a gaggia brera and this machine. I love this one way more.

The slower milk steaming is actually helpful if you are a beginner and trying to get better milk texture.

I have both, the infuser pulls better shots. The bambino has newer heating tech and heats up faster, but I still prefer the quality of the shot from the infuser (mine's from 2017). Steaming is quicker on the bambino given the quicker heating element.

Bambino is the best bang for the buck when it's on sale. I got the bambino plus which was great for milk in the beginning but now I do the milk manually so no advantage over the bambino. Having the plus was nice as training wheels for the milk, though

I think the infusion one would be Because you could adjust temperature. I believe on very dark coffees you want a little lower temperature. You should Google this stuff For Barista quality information. Sounds like the bamboo's more of a breeze to use smaller footprint has better milk steaming abilities

Thanks OP! I have been waiting for Bambino but pulled trigger on this one. In the item description, it says: Earn up to $200 cashback and receive two free bags of coffee beans when you purchase a selected Breville Espresso or Coffee machine. Valid Sep 18, 2024 until Dec 31, 2025.

If that is true, this will be a very sweet deal.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I also got the 3-yr protection for $40, so that I can play something crazy with a good sleep.

Infuser is the superior machine if you have a good espresso grinder to go with it, if you have an entry level grinder I would go for the Bambino, it is also less maintenance. (infuser has the solenoid that needs backflushing every now and then) I have pretty much every Breville machine except the "impress" series as I rebuild / repair them.

Advantage of Bambino is smaller footprint, the steaming is said to be negligibly better due to faster heat up time, but in practice I like the steaming on the infuser better.. I can not tell you why.

As for Bambino vs Bambino Plus.. if you have money for the Plus get it, superior in every way.

Even in manual steaming mode, the Plus's 4-hole head works leaps and bounds better than the Bambino or Infusers 1 hole.

I just read that, I ended up pulling the trigger as well, wonder how to claim any cash back.
