Good question. I think that it is. I would change the math to how much it costs to wash my hands once:

0.063 ounces x 19 cents/oz (sale) = 1.2 cents for a hand wash with Meyers
Costco would be roughly .3 cents.

Personally I don't find it a huge savings for having nicer soap that is quick and easy to wash with.
0.063 fl ounces is based on a rough estimate based on me measuring a normal pump for me at 1.9g of soap. I did 3 test pumps at 1.6, 1.7, 1.9g.
Yes, to me, it is. But I have both for different reasons. I use Meyers for general wash and soft soap after things like handling meat or disinfectant solvents.

Soft soap $9 for 160oz at Costco. 0.05/oz vs over 0.20/oz
Meyers is much nicer soap but is it worth 4 times the price?

I agree that it definitely feels softer and nicer smell. However if you have kids who go through soap like nothing then it's better to go with soft soap. It's not as easy on sensitive hands though.

Whoa, ninexball, very impressive!
0.3 cents vs 1.2 cents is even a bigger difference, I think I'll stick with soft soap for time being. Smilie

I'm so annoyed by this analysis. Now every time I wash my hands I will be seeing 1.2 cents go down the drain.
Literally 'money down the drain'.🤗

Same here. I don't go through as much in the bathrooms as I do in the kitchen, so the nicer soap costing a bit more doesn't really factor that much.

I also use an auto dispenser in the kitchen (to limit bacteria from raw foods getting all over the faucet and soap pump), and the thicker SoftSoap is a bit better for dispensing because it's thicker (not as runny).
