I've been working from home (3-4 days a week) with this device for just over a year now. I dont code, but I do work in a creative industry as a designer and game on this occasionally.

It's a f'ing beautiful display. No signs of burn ins what so ever still after a full year of use doing productivity work like 3D modeling, photoshop, ppt, web browsing, slack, email, etc.

Copped this for gaming and productivity around 620 like 5-6mo ago after edu discount and cash back and Chase rewards.

Had a LCD curved 144hz before this; but the OLED just blows it out of the water. Crazy good blacks and zero latency. No signs of burn in so far 🤞🏾. Highly recommend

Seems to be a fantastic deal, but still not sure if I need this for my work monitor. I do work from home, but still I dunno if it's worth it for coding!!

It's wqhd so it's not very tall. The curve is nice and gentle that's a big plus for work applications. However the OLED panel will likely burn in due to the static areas of the IDE environment

No panels in the last 4 years have been prone to burn in quickly let alone withing a few years ( msi has a 3 year warranty now) that's a first gen oled issue before every single panel started coming with pixel refresh and other maintenance

Curves usually turns me on, but not when it comes to monitors...it's just a gimmick, especially for OLED.
For large or ultrawide monitors, I only do curved now. For productivity, the curve makes reading text on the edges easier.

i kind of had a different experience, i thought it was really nice for games, but for productivity like coding, slack, emails, etc... I really disliked it due to how it text showed up... just really poor quality. ended up selling it, for a qd-oled which seems far more clear.
though if you do decide to get it i havent run into burnins though or dead pixels for the time i had it.

edit- also have to mention the mini-dp is somewhat annoying

Good monitor with smart TV functionality, which to my surprise, came in handy time to time, but 1 year warranty was what put me on hold and ended up returning it. Glad Samsung now offers 3 year warranty on newer models.

wonder if we can flag users for posting false information..... on the site clearly says 1 year warranty

I'll be honest samsung warranties are worth 0.... i bought their first line of gaming quantum dot monitors that launched with a 3 year warranty and in a year or so they switched all their monitors to 1 year warranties due to the large number of issues with those particular monitors (i sent mine into repair twice... and had to take them to small claims when it failed a 3rd time within the 3 year window)

unless you are close enough to your county seat, if you are a purchaser in the US, to make filing a small claims against samsung easy i wouldn't bother

I am not sure what false information I posted, but let me clarify anyway. When I said "newer models", I meant newer OLED monitors with the 3rd gen QD-OLED panel, 32" OLED G8, specifically. I certainly did not mean this model. This model uses the older gen QD-OLED panel, and has only 1 year warranty, therefore I returned it as I am a firm believer that OLED panel needs 3 year warranty at minimum as it's still in premature stage engieering-wise.

Newer OLED G8 (G80SD) does come with 3 year warranty in the US. https://www.samsung.com/us/comput...g802snxza/

But with that said, I agree Samsung's warranty is nowhere near that of Dell. I've been using Neo G8 over a year now, and fortunately I have no issues after several firmware updates, but I am ready to throw it away when it starts having issues.
