I have a similar model. Good deal. The 13th generation i3 is supposed to be much better than previous generations. Although 8GB is not the windows 11 sweet spot it performs well for basic work. Adding the extra RAM does enable dual channel and enables better on board video. Get out of S mode asap!

This deal is front page already seems odd. Is there a decent deal on the 13th gen that won't break the bank?

I have a very similar model I bought back when Office Depot sold it. It is good and quiet. Had issues running Teams and multi-tasking. It spiked to 90+% CPU and fans spin up. Other than that a good lappy. Everything else I tossed at was ok for basic tasks. I did add a 16GB stick & swapped out to a 1TB m.2 that I had laying around as 8GB / 256GB is NOT enough. But the lappy was $288 when I bought it 2 yrs ago.

Any computer that has 8GB of ram is out of date and will slow down it's going to more of a pain to get anything done.

Save your money buy something that over $500, you get some years of use out of it.

As an IT director I would spend a little more and make sure you have at least 512 on the SSD, and 16Gb of Ram. I can't tell you how many 256 SSDs we've had to replace back when we thought we were getting a great deal. The retired computers immediately get raided for the other 8Gb of Ram so we can keep those old machines that got the 512 upgrade running worth a darn.

Better ports and conectivity and screen form factor. also has backlit keys
Lack of a 10 key kills it for me. Thanks for sharing though.
