I paid only $104+tax on a 512gb S9 Ultra by trading in my S7+ which I only paid $350 few years ago.

I stopped by BestBuy the other day and saw Lenovo Tab P12, interested in it and made a purchase of it. I found the Lenovo Tab P12 is great for taking notes, checking email, scheduling, entertainment...and its specs can do all of those easily without any issues but at the 1/3 price of my Samsung Tab S9. Thus, I plan to gift my Samsung Tab S9 to a family, if not, I will put it up for sale online.
I don't know anyone that uses a tablet for more than what you mentioned. When you want power or immersed in work, you'll be on a PC or MAC.
I absolutely love the S9 and S8, S7 prior. I admire them, and yes the new Gen 2 Snapdragon, soon Gen 3 or M2 are a joy to use without any stutter and can keep dozens of apps open.
I wish I could do more work on them, but ultimately it leads me to the PC.
I can't bash S9, nor iPad Pro, but do 95% of us who buy them, use their power. No. At least with cell phones, we use them CONTINUOUSLY, and having powerful SoC helps make those fraction of seconds between each swipe and tap disappear so we our frustrations can be pointed to the task at hand, instead of the device.
Either future apps become exponentially more demanding, or these premium tablets will have smaller and smaller niche.
I suspect with AI, and desire to use clouds less, they will remain relevant. Though the demands of AI today renders every flagship consumer chips almost useless. We're back to square one, and that's the beauty of tech. Just when you think we've achieved zenith, the enjoyment will last as long as your last orgasm.
In other words, if you've got the cash or true need, just buy it, or save $, and earn interest while that lasts.
That said, it's a fantastic tablet, but the keyboard cover is criminally priced, and finding good cases for mine has been difficult.

A 13-14 inch laptop at the same price or much less will serve you in much and greater spectrum than this Samsung S9 Ultra tablet. Now I mainly use my Lenovo Tablet for taking notes and having them converted to Word for my meetings' minutes and records since it is faster and save me more time than typing on my laptop. Spending almost $1000 on a device which I don't use much does not justify my spending.
Again, if someone has a lot of money and don't know what to do with such money even generate 2% interest on it, you buy one and see it rests on your desk most of the time. For me with the extra money, I place it in my bank for divident and interest or a safe for family and personal emergy, or taking my family to restaurants.
I owned Samsung Tab S lines in the past and currently own a Samsung Tab S9.
I strongly recommend to get a newly released Lenovo Tab P12 since you don't need the best. All other important works you can do it on a laptop or PC.
Lenovo Tab 12 is also at BestBuy which is on sale now for $329 that 1/3 the cost.

At Lenovo for $269 for a 128MB storage model [lenovo.com]. Many people don't need more since you can place a microSD card on it to expand the storage. Spend the rest of you money for family at restaurant instead please.
