It's not bad, but these were 99 bucks a few weeks back at bb. I'll hold for a better deal, but if you need a pair, not bad.

are these good for riding bicycle on the road? i'd like to hear the surrounding sound but not bother people when I ride on bike paths.

I use them when I ride. Great quality for what they are, albeit harder to hear when the wind noise picks up, but allows your to hear everything going on around you. Would 100% recommend.

The sound quality isn't great. They're actually pretty solid for conference calls as well. I actually like using them with earplugs too when I want better isolation. Also got it for $99.

These are definetely not for hifi. It's very useful for running and driving, also good for conf calls.
