Just got this loaned from my public library, me and my 6 yr old are having a blast playing it together. Make sure to check your local library whether they have it or could be shipped to ur library from another one, atleast that what they do in mine. I still have to buy a game for the switch, all of the popular ones I have loaned from my library.

Edit- someone downvoted me, just wondering what I said wrong? Just curious.

I completely disagree, my son and I played all the way through and loved it. It was a nice direction to take the series and there are a lot of stages, secrets, and item upgrades. Plus the soundtrack is killer. Just my opinion

This game isn't worth more than $20-30. The multiplayer is half baked crap. Difficulty is far too easy even for Kirby games. Enjoyed Star Allies with the family, but we couldn't even come to finish this one.
Exactly our experience. Kirby really sucks and blows in this most recent outing.

Crazy, I had the exact opposite experience with my 6 year old. We absolutely adore this game.

This game is simply outstanding in-terms of soundtrack, graphics and story. Irrespective of age anyone can play and loads of fun controlling the puffy ball. Go for it.

This is one of the best Nintendo Switch games - I'd compare it to Mario Odyssey or Paper Mario Origami King, my kids loved it.

Repped. Interesting those games you mentioned are the two games my sons loved to play. He doesnt like any other games, including the older Kirby games on the Switch. Hopefully he'll like this one like your kids did.

I loved this game when it came out, but the amazing soundtrack is what left an indelible impression on me, even to present day long after I beat the game.

The tenor changes dramatically based on the theme of each world. I especially like the music for the abandoned mall; it really does feel like a throwback as if I were watching an extended JC Penny or Sear's documentary >D The amusement park music feels both depressing and fun at the same time. Im sure a music theory buff would have a field day tearing the OST apart, esp the last song "Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit".

As for the game, like past kirby (and yoshi) games, it is on the easier side; but I dont see that as off-putting. This is peak Nintendo. Still plenty of hours to gather all of the content...all of the capsule trophies, 3-star-ing all of the crystal shard levels, and trying to get the best time in the coliseum. This is Kirby's first 3D foray, and the on-rails nature of each level does feel a bit elementary, but this is one of those times that I am a fan of incrementalism...and what a HUGE incremental jump that this was!

Minigames made me tear my hair out, such as the Labyrinth clone.

Game is not perfect. I wish the worlds let you walk backwards. This isnt SMB1. Its not clear what upper platforms are background vs ones you can actually jump on, often leading to missed Waddledees often on first run. Co-op is an afterthought...Bandana Waddledee only gets buffs...no new weapons, and its too easy for him to get stuck (id rather they zoom out a-la Smash Bros Style)

Solid 8.5 IMO

Honestly, sign up for a month of GameFly, rent this game and beat it in a week or two and then get a different game for 2 weeks. That'll only cost you $15, as there ain't much/any replay value in this game.

How old was the kid you played it with? I can't imagine a 6-8 year old not loving the heck out of this game unless they typically play Fortnite all day.

This is the game my five year old keeps coming back to, the Kid's mode especially makes it extra accessible.
