Also, Fakespot's algorithms are simply really not all that good at picking up fake reviews. I used to rely on it, but either their algorithms have gotten a lot worse or fakers have gotten better at avoiding them, and Fakespot had to make their algorithms over-sensitive to compensate, as a result, Fakespot shows a LOT of completely legit reviews as fake. Just simply not reliable at all any more, in my experience.
My best policy: look at the negative reviews on Amazon, if most of them are from blithering idiots who reviewed the shipper, or the seller, or Amazon itself, or expected the product to do something it could not possibly do, or does not claim to do, etc. then the product is probably OK. This seems to happen more and more. Not sure why, maybe people are really getting stupider. If the negative reviews are actually of the actual product's quality, then don't buy. Positive reviews usually are worthless, I rarely bother reading them. That is merely my personal policy/advice that has worked very well for me, I very rarely have to return anything these days.
