I have one of these cards. Once you get past the cache, or whatever SanDisk magic you want to call it, the continuous write speed is around 70MB/s and read about 80MB/s, measured with 2 different adapters. My adapters were not SanDisk brand, which you should use to get closer to their advertised speed, but how many of you are going to use the card in a SanDisk device with a capable high speed adapter? After Two H2Test verification's and then writing 1.2TB of files to the card (so call it 6TB written) it now writes around 37MB/s, even for small files, and I haven't bothered re-checking read speed.

Edit: my apologies to Samsung as I used their name instead of SanDisk in my original post so I have edited it and changed Samsung to SanDisk to prevent confusion.

I love the idea of sending this back in time to 2000 when the floppy disk replacement wars were in full-swing. 1.44 MB on a 3.5" disk compared to 2,000,000 MB on your fingernail.

well you clearly have no idea what you're talking about, if that's the case.
a 1TB Express card is $220 by itself. why would you expect a single 2TB Express card to be $323, let alone TWO 2TB Express cards to be $323?

....this is not a Samsung card. your adapters not being Samsung have absolutely nothing to do with your speeds.

You're absolutely right, I had Samung on the brain when I wrote this for some reason, should have said SanDisk and probably should have said card reader instead of adapter just to be clear.

This is how it works for every brand. They added proprietary protocols to exceed the hard limit on UHS-I. SanDisk has their own protocol, Samsung has their own protocol, every brand does. The only meaningful improvement over the years on UHS-I cards are manufacturing them on more efficient nodes so that it can keep peak transfer rate longer.

I tried to google search if this works with the Nintendo switch 2. And it seems that it doesn't. Can anyone else confirm?
