Doesn't support charging? Hmm, this doesn't seem terribly useful.

Note that this is posted by Staff (i.e., they got paid off by the seller to boost this).

But if you search SD for this, every few months it's less than five bucks.

I use this at work after I was left with one working USB plug. I give it two thumbs up. Thing works as intended and flawlessly. Super simple to use. Just activate the USB output you want to use by clicking down on the square above the USB you want to use.

on.a other note, I do t know anything about the seller so use your own discretion.

Have the 2.0 ver that's plugged in the Corsair KB, so can switch on the fly for 3 different wireless mice. Works as intended.

I have one of this and one of the USB2 version. Great hubs. I use it as a hardware switch for my webcam.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't catch that.

Although it doesn't come with a power source, they still have the round DC barrel jack up top (unless things have changed). I plugged in additional power to supply multiple portable mechanical drives.

While you're right about this being posted by staff, the part about it regularly going on sale for $5 is wrong. It semi-regularly goes on sale for around $10. $10 used to be the regular price for this hub, but prices have gone up over the last couple years. You may be thinking of the USB 2.0 version going on sale for $5.

I have this hub. There's no barrel jack for power on this hub. They sell a powered hub that looks similar, but that's a different product. It's great for keyboards, mice, USB drives, etc, but if you need it to charge faster than the slow charge you get from a PCs USB port, you're better off with the powered version. It's nice being able to keep devices plugged in and just press a button to disconnect the device.

For what it's worth, there are tons of one star reviews (some especially negative)!

I have one just so I can power off the rgb lights on the goXLR mini since it doesn't have an off switch.

The parts in USB hubs are not exactly highly in-demand. The parts are so cheap and over-engineered that they have never had a shortage even in the pandemic.

The parts that have gotten expensive *cause of the pandemic* are processors, CPUs, GPUs, etc., none of which this product has.
