I own this for home office. It sorta sucks and can't handle multiple usb devices. For instance, mouse disconnects often and peripherals chug if using an external drive.

Agreed. It works well for the price and for what it is but I was definitely was expecting a decrease in the price by now.

Got 2 of these from previous slickdeals for around $4~$6 each.

For a tech product (USB 3.0 hub) that has been around for over 7 years, seems like the price is not getting cheaper....

I'm going to pick one of these up to plug my webcam and microphone into. That way I will know for sure whether they are connected and in use, or not.

This is exactly what I do. The ones I currently have use a shorter cord and I think I'll pick up one of these 2' cable versions.

I have a couple just like these. One definitely over 5 years. Both work for decent easy charging.

This is a much longer cable compared to that version. Not to say cable isn't cheap… but it isn't quite the same comparison.

I have this. That's what I use it for. Microphone and Webcam plug into this. Can easily turn them off and on. With confidence because it has a blue light when on. Also, sometimes I'm in a voice only meeting, so I turn on the microphone and turn off the webcam.

Very nice way to confirm the devices are on or off.

i got this last $10 sale
it's ok for my modest needs.
i like that the ports and buttons
are 90 degrees from each other.
i like that the led's are dim
but hate that each light bleeds
into the button next to it.
