I had the previous model (black) and used to get instant notifications.

UPDATE: I received this model and installed it today. I am getting instant notifications when triggered from both MyQ app and Smartthings.

I've got the old black one and can't recommend it enough. I don't use it much as an opener but it's invaluable to know whether the doors are closed or not when you're in a hurry.

Not Alexa Alexa routine friendly. But SimpleCommands supports it to allow triggers. Also has an annoying ~6 second beep/flash before it closes, sluggish response. Good price though.

I have it working with SimpleCommands for a few months but I can't get it to work anymore?

Myq doesn't offer instant push notifications... I've been able to open and close the door and get notifications 5 minutes after. Support says this is by design but that's bull since other brands like meross have/had instant alerts.

I really looked into getting one of these the last time it was at this price. However when I found it it's not a simple plug-and-play integration with my talking tuna can, I decided to pass. Still considering it, but would really love to be able to open my garage door by simply saying it.

I love my setup. I have a bike with no garage door opener. I have the black one. I paid $50 to sync it to my Vivint security system which is integrated with Alexa. I plugged in an echo dot in the garage. When I go to leave I just say "alexa close the garage door" and the light starts flashing and I depart. To open when I return I just use the Vivint app. It is also useful in preventing me from going to sleep with the garage door open since it shows up on the app and the panel. Very satisfied. Works every time.

Note: you cannot open with voice only close just like a door lock and for the same reason.
