I have these and USB port malfunction on these. If you plugged one hard drive to it and try to plug another, first one get ejected automatically giving error message every time. This may damage hard drive eventually.

These get surprisingly hot. And no, they don't work with a Switch.

The UGREEN ones are a better deal.

Curious… Did you have a power supply going to the hub? I'm asking because these drives require power and if no additional power besides what's coming from the computer is supplied, then these things tend to happen. Is there even a port for additional power? I usually just use my Nintendo switch USB C plug with my other hub

There are a ton of no name Usb-C hubs on Amazon. But you kind of get what you pay for. Anker is probably the best, but I've had decent luck with ugreen, hootoo and nov8tech. It's the wild west out there on these hubs, too many random brands.

It's not HDMI 2.1, only 1.4. It can only output 4k@30Hz. I gave it up when I got a 4k 60Hz monitor.

There's no way to downgrade ports to USB 2.0 mode on these, hence the dedicated USB 2.0 port.

I've seen adapters to connect a 2.x/3.x device into a C-port.
I didn't check to see if they provided only limited use.

I purchased one of these the last time it came around for about this price. The SD card slot lasted about 6 months. I don't recommend.
