I just want to take a moment of silence for all the folks who said "wait for black friday" over the last several months. They were right. Saved everyone a whopping $5.

LOL
Same price as basically everywhere else, BUT

Check if you're eligible for the Amex promo. I was able to get 30% off ($50 max), which gave me a $50 discount for applying 1MR.
If you have an Amazon Prime Visa that normally gives 5% back, send yourself a gift card [amazon.com], and apply it towards this purchase with the claim code. This effectively gives you ~$7.50 back

I did both, effective price of $142.50 or $10.18/TB. Even better than Best Buy w/ recycle coupon. This deal was found under the Black Friday Deals section for PC components [amazon.com], and expires by the end of 11/26. Good luck folks!

Best Buy has it for $199 but if you go in and bring any old drive (I used a flash drive) you get a 15% off coupon in-store. Brings it down to $165. Grabbed one last week.
Last week this was ideal to do.. today, not so much!

I tried to use it but it would only take off the regular price, not the $200 black friday price.
Mine did. $759.98 - $400 savings + tax = $387.88. For QTY 2, of course.

It was a mess trying to get someone who knew what was going on there last week. Took an hour. Can't imagine it today. It could be free and I wouldn't go there.
I was late to the party about this deal. Got the coupon no issue but did a quick "nope" when I rolled over to the store on my lunch break. I'll take the minimum needed for my new NAS now at $195, and use that for a backup during the next sale

Anyone know where to buy a video card, I wanted to get an nvidia 1660 way back when they were going off and on sale for 199., then the shortage of video cards happened and I missed out. I'm stuck using my old nvidia gt 9800, I really need something better but I dont see anything posted for video cards anymore. I'm all set on hard drives though Smilie

It looks like you also get an extended warranty by purchasing from WD. At check out and on the receipt, it says "Includes extra year of limited warranty." So three years instead of two.

Thanks for the post. Worked for me with $50 off from Amex!

Note: it was going in and out of stock while I had it in my cart. I kept refreshing and ultimately Amazon let me buy with delivery in 1-2 weeks.

Good luck!

WD sent me a 10% off code yesterday. Used it on 2 of these, got full 10% off order and free expedited shipping.

Thanks OP!
10% off for original price product not discounted product, right? at least it didn't work for me

Yes, I had the same problem. When I apply the 10% code, it always changes the price to the "regular" price before taking off the 10%.

Warehouse stock reporting from different locations can do this, but now it is definitely OOS unless they secure additional stock. There have been times people in one region can still order some items that other regions cannot, so they must have some limitations on how far some warehouses will ship.

There is a certain cashback site currently offer 15% cash back!
the cashback is 15% but after placing the order, it showed 19.9 amount with 300 points instead of 199.9 with 3000 points. so weird.

If it is in stock in store. In many cases, it is now shipping to stores for pickup after the sale, and this usually involves return/rebuy, but by the time it arrives, the sale will be over. So this is a YMMV situation with this discount. Some managers will override for you, others will tell you to pound salt.

That's true. The stores around me all had them in stock. But I do live in the Twin Cities, where Best Buy is based and we've got more stores than anywhere else, so that may contribute to it.

Yes, just fine but you'd want to reformat it. Takes 3 seconds.
ALTHOUGH as an external drive yes. If you're talking about shucking and putting this in a Mac tower, you may run into power issues booting up

In WNY, they were long gone from Rochester to Buffalo.
