I've used one of these for years for my truck and am buying another one for my wife's car. Very powerful and has been solid for me. Last time it was this price was in January so it looks like a fairly regular price drop but worth noting if you're in the market!

That being said, I also have a 1500A Gooloo Jump Starter from an older SD (~$50) and honestly have not noticed any significant difference between the two besides 1-yr warranty for the Noco and 18-month warranty for the Gooloo. They both get the job done.
Overall I would say this is an ok deal for this Noco Jump Starter but you can definitely save a few bucks if you can wait a little while.
The build quality is better than others I have.
I have several of the made in china ones with the blue plastic tabs that connect the cables, it's a weak point. The Noco's have a better cable attachment.
Edit: actually I've owned two of the GB40s and of note, one was made in Malaysia and one in Vietnam.
Surprisingly, I got this one for like $35 and it starts it right up:

NOCO is a tried and true brand. It jumped my completely dead 5.0L with ease (dont forget to press and hold the BOOST button when its needed in situations like this). Havent tried the Gooloo on that one yet but has worked on smaller engines.
The NOCO goes with me on road trips because I KNOW I can trust it. I'm not entirely convinced of the Gooloo... yet.

I got this one:

With many more features and a higher (1500A) rating than the OP, for a SD under $50.
For the SAME price, I'd still rather get the one I linked, with the bigger battery and cigarette lighter adaptor, than the OP.

You don't mean you need to press while starting do you?
Last time I used it, I drained my Noco by having to leave it hooked up for like 5 minutes to get the battery charged enough to pass the "clicking" stage and start turning over.
I do agree on the build quality. It's very nicely put together.

If you press and hold the (!)/BOOST after the unit has been turned on, the LEDs will light up and flash in sequence to inform the user it's in boost mode. Once it does that, it's ready for the start/crank.
